Globalaw European Conference 2022

This month, Briars brought a taste of Scotland to Luxembourg for the Globalaw European Conference (GLERM 2022).  Globalaw’s regional meetings are opportunities to exchange expertise, educate one another, and improve what we deliver to clients.  They are also essential for building relationships and allowing lawyers and clients to get to know each other personally through networking and social events.

Flying the flag for The Briars Group in 2022 were CEO Kate Jolly and Commercial Advisor Juliet Sharples, who were asked to host a scotch whisky tasting evening as part of the event.  Given Kate’s Scottish heritage, conference attendees knew this Caledonian event was not one to be missed.

Whisky Tasting

The popularity was evident as more people arrived that there were places for.  However, Kate and Juliet were able to include everyone.  The guests were all able to taste a selection of whiskies from 3 of the 5 scotch whisky regions, with cheese, smoked salmon and finally chocolate accompaniments. Each guest also left with a gift box of 5 drams of whisky and glass, a complimentary book and Islay Scottish tablet (Scotland’s answer to fudge).

These social events are part of Globalaw’s commitment to building strong personal relationships and an occasion to identify business opportunities for and with clients.  Members work hard to make people feel welcome within the network and work hard to deliver quality service and to provide global solutions.  Clients receive relationship lawyering, value for money services and practical solutions to their problems.

Globalaw Network

Globalaw is a busy, active and exciting network that currently covers 63 different legal jurisdictions, making it one of the most global of legal networks.
