Senior Tax Professional – International Corporate Taxes
Currently employing a specialist team of talented staff, we seek a senior tax professional to enhance our Tax team. This role will be based in our Godalming office, with travel to client sites, as required.
The tax team, working closely with the accounts, HR and payroll teams, provide mixed tax practice services, ranging from relatively straightforward to the highly specialised and complex advisory work, to both corporate and private clients, some of whom have longstanding business relationships with Briars. The team are also on hand to guide internal Briars decision making.
The Senior Tax Professional will provide direct advice to corporate clients on a range of cross border aspects, utilising in house specialist expertise or external contacts where appropriate, to ensure compliance with legislation and best practice.
The range of tax work covers:
Cross border corporation tax planning; inter-company agreements; employment-related securities; transfer pricing and corporate structures.

Responsibilities
- Appropriate interpretation of tax legislation and application to client cases
- Application of own specialism – sharing knowledge with team
- Liaison with clients to ensure full disclosure to allow for accurate advice
- Clear risk assessment of work taken on, to be addressed in clear communication of risk and appropriate pricing
- Full compliance management, record keeping, administrative processes
- Time recording, analysis and billing
- New client meetings and service level pricing
- Liaison with the Finance Team for preparation of accounts
Qualifications and Experience
- International tax experience a requirement
- A recent and established background working for a Tax consultancy or Accountancy firm
- At least 3 years post qualification experience of in a client facing role
- CTA qualification is highly desirable
